SF Crime and Arrest Data Project
This project was started in 2015 in partnership with Code for San Francisco and support from Microsoft. It was meant to help SFPD with crime statistics reporting for local colleges and universities in accordance with The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (known as the Clery Act).
Since then it was made available to the general public. Everyone can now research crime rate statistics for the City and County of San Francisco. Data set used for stats visualization comes for San Francisco Police department and is comprised of SFPD incident reports. Note that those are non-emergency reports and they do not include 911 calls which is a different dataset.
